A9022 - Restored Early Victorian Cedar Seven Drawer Chest. Circa 1880. Restored and hand polished using traditional methods, this character packed piece from the late 1800s features.
Solid, rich tone Australian Cedar construction.
Traditional shellac and beeswax finish.

Another classic set of drawers well equipped for the modern home. All drawers sit nicely, function smoothly and have been fitted with new hardwood runners. Reglueing, renailing/strengthening and re-aligning of the drawers carried out. Replacement internal rails and guides nstalled to the large bottom drawer cavities. Original tongue and groove backboards straight and complete. As with all of our pieces, any cracks to the sides or top resulting from aging (drying and shrinkage of the Cedar over more than a century) have been correctly bonded with high strength compound, filled, colour matched and French polished. Note: the line through the middle of the middle bottom drawer is not a crack and only the natural grain/figuring of the cedar plank.
