A9063- Restored Cedar Victorian Five Drawer Dresser. Circa 1890. Completely stripped back, restored and hand polished using traditional methods, this stunning antique chest of drawers boasts.
Constructed from solid Cedar.
Traditional shellac hand French polish finish.
Five structurally excellent, new functioning hand-dovetailed drawers.
Clean, lined internal drawer bases.
Original turned Cedar handles complete with original Cedar screws.
All original brass drawer locks and escutcheon inserts.
New drawer runners.
New internal drawer guides (where required).
New replacement drawer stops.
Turned Cedar legs fitted with anti-scratch pads.
Lovely woodgrain figuring.
Another fine example from the Victorian era. All drawers are very solid, have been completely rebuilt, re-glued, re-nailed and fitted with new runners. The five sit straight and flush and function like new (nice and smoothly). New, non-original drawer bases fitted to most drawers. All original internal drawer rails have been re-nailed and reglued. The solid Cedar drawer fronts, sides and top have been completely stripped back, steam treated to lift dents and are in pristine condition with no cracks, stains or significant dents. The original Cedar backing boards are in perfect order also.
Dimensions (mm). 1045W x 1065H x 465D.
