Overall, an exceptional example from the Edwardian era. All five drawers are structurally excellent with no pre-existing repairs and have been reglued and re-nailed where required. Refitted and re-nailed original Cedar drawer bases to close up all gaps from natural shrinkage over time. New solid oak drawer runners installed to all five drawers. The original internal Cedar drawer rails are in very good condition (minimal wear) and have been re--nailed and re-glued. All drawers sit straight and flush and function seamlessly (like new). The solid Cedar drawer fronts, Cedar plank sides and top are in pristine condition, free from cracks, splits and dents. All original tongue and groove back boards in perfect order also.
