A9067 - Victorian Mahogany Chest with Frieze Top Drawers. Restored and hand French polished using traditional methods, this elegant five drawer chest from the 1800s boasts.
Solid Mahogany and Mahogany veneer construction.
Five structurally excellent, seamlessly functioning hand-dovetailed drawers.
Very clean internal drawer surfaces.
Original turned Mahogany handles. 
Original solid brass drawer locks and large brass keyhole inserts 
New hardwood drawer runners (where required).
Replacement internal drawer guides and stops (where required)
Original turned Mahogany legs with new anti-scratch pads.
Decorative half pillars to either side.
Frieze top drawers. 
Another very solid example from the Victorian era. All drawers are structurally excellent (very solid and sturdy) and have been re-glued and renailed where necessary (Removed and refitted original drawer bases). The hairline crack to the drawer base on the very bottom drawer has been reglued and reinforced with new timber crossmembers glued and nailed to the underside (The drawer is now stronger than it was originally). The drawer bases on the remaining drawers have no cracks. New drawer runners installed to the first long drawer, directly below the two top drawers. The original runners on the remaining four drawers are in excellent condition showing negligible wear. All five drawers sit nice and straight and function very smoothly. The original internal drawer rails are in very good condition also and have been refitted, re-glued, renailed and reinforced with new blocks. Solid Mahogany drawer fronts and plank sides. Complete original backboarding.
