A9068 - Restored Distressed Four Drawer Victorian Cedar Chest. Circa 1880. Completely rebuilt and finished with a traditional shellac hand French polish, this character packed example from the late 1800s features. 
Solid Cedar construction.
Traditional polish with beeswax finish.
Four as new functioning hand-dovetailed Cedar drawers.
All new drawer runners.
All new drawer bases and central crossmembers
Original turned Cedar drawer pulls.
Original brass escutcheon and drawer locks.
Replacement drawer stops (where required).
Anti scratch pads installed to legs.
New internal drawer rails and guides. 
Another very sound piece all set for the next 140+ years of service. All drawers have been completely rebuilt, renailed and reglued. Each drawer has been fitted with a new drawer base, runners, and for the two large drawers a central crossmember to the underside of drawer also (All drawers have been structurally renewed), The four function flawlessly. Original backboards in great shape also.
