A9079 - Immaculately Restored Victorian Mahogany Five Drawer Chest. Completely restored from the ground up and fitted with new hardwood drawer runners, this exquisite example from the late 1800s boasts.

This magnificent set of drawers is one of the finest of its type ever to come out of our workshop! The Mahogany top, sides and drawer fronts are in pristine condition, free from significant dents and with all original veneers and trims intact. The original drawers are structurally flawless with no no pre-existing repairs and function as new. Where required, the drawer bases have been refitted to close up any gaps resulting for shrinkage of the Mahogany of the years. The hand dovetailed joins on all corners of the drawers are like new with no gaps, damage or signs of loosening. The original Mahogany drawer rails and guides are in very good condition with negligible wear (re-nailed and re- glued where required). All the original internal Mahogany planks/shelves separating each drawer (to prevent dust from dropping from the underside of the drawers above) are complete and in excellent order. Original backing boards in great order also.
