A9080- Restored Victorian Cedar Seven Drawer Tallboy. Circa 1900. Renewed and rebuilt internally, restored and finished with a traditional hand French polish, this timeless set of hardwood drawers boasts.
Solid Australian Cedar construction.
Traditional hand finish (Shellac and beeswax).
Seven very smooth functioning hand-dovetailed cedar drawers.
Original turned Cedar handles with their original Cedar screws.
Lovely woodgrain features to the external surfaces.
All original brass drawer locks and keyholes.
New drawer runners.
New internal drawer rails and guides (except the very top right small drawer - not required).
New drawer stops.
Original turned Cedar legs with anti-scratch pads.
Rebuilt and renewed internally, this gorgeous dresser is all set for the next 120+ years of service. All seven drawers have been re-nailed and re-glued where required, and had their bases refitted to close all gaps. They sit straight and flush and function like new.  New runners to all drawers, except the two small top right drawers (not required as no significant wear). New timber crossmembers installed to the underside of the large bottom drawer to provide additional load bearing strenght to the original Cedar base. The external Cedar plank sides, top and drawer fronts are in very nice condition with a few minor dents. All hairline cracks have been repaired with high strength bonding compound, reinforced from underneath/behind, filled and colour matched prior to French polishing. The original Cedar backboards are complete and in great shape also.
